Phillips Farms Pumpkin Patch

Back when I was in preschool way back in the 90's. Our tradition was to go to Phillips Farms Pumpkin Patch and ride the hay ride through the corn maze. Now that Phillips Farms is part of the Michael David Winery they have amped up their style. Phillips Farm is not only a place where you can shop for pumpkins; you can also let your kids run wild while you sit and sip on wine! The Michael David Winery is adjacent to the farm. Another added detail is the cafe. You can order food and bring it out to sit in the numerous sitting areas available. I recommended buying one of their apple pies to take home!
The crazy thing about these head cut outs is that I have similar photos at this same pumpkin patch from when I was the same age as Solin:
She loves looking at the chickens even though we have a dozen at home:
The place place is impressive. It's a cute little grassy knoll where the kids can play with a market and slide down the slides:
These guys!!! Raggedy Anne and Andy are the originals from when I was a kid! What a blast from the past!
Among the glorious hay stacks are flower fields and vineyards:
We made it to the top of the hay pyramid. However, there was a high wind warning that day and we could have easily flown off of there:
Inside the wine tasting room:
Again with that wind advisory...
We ended the visit with a game of bocce.
Phillips Farms will be a new family tradition each year. It would be fun to come with out kids and have a fall afternoon sipping wine on the patios.

Pepper's Picks for fall

Hello October First! I love you! Do we need to say anymore than that. This millennial pink has hit me and it hit me hard. If you would have asked me five years ago I would have said "no thank you!" to anything pink. But this light calm pink is perfect for this time of the year. It's almost the new khaki... Don't tell me it's over because my obsession has just begun!
