Our constant family tradition since I have been part of the family is to spend Christmas Eve with my husband's side of the family. We gather up the entire family and dress in our Christmas outfits and travel over the river and through the woods to Grandpa and Great Grandma's house. Our comfy and cozy Christmas starts out in an organized way, but some how ends in a catastrophe of recycled goods. This year was the most precious because our little Solin is starting to understand the reason for the season. I loved explaining to her about the First Christmas and why we have a Christmas tree. We also keep with the Christmas Philosophy of something they want, need, wear and read. Our Grandma Lexie won the award of most annoying toy when she gifted and singing yellow duck to Solin. But she always won the most comfy award when Solin found her own comforted chair:
The rare sighting of Randall Dean. He only lets me post photos approved by him:
Solin also received these adorable boots for Christmas. She carefully tossed them aside to open another gift :)

It was a good ending to a chaotic year. It's always a blessing to know that this season brings us all together no matter what the year has brought us.
