Surprise Vacation Packing List

My husband is taking me on a surprise adventure this weekend. We are celebrating our 9 year anniversary and technically our 3 year wedding anniversary. We got married on our dating anniversary and we love going on road trips together. This weekend it will just be me and the hubby. No babies. My husband told me to prepare for "Glamping" and possibly a bike ride. When I started putting clothes in my weekender bag he told me to throw in a few dresses too? I have a few ideas for where we are going but truly I am just excited for a get away!

Teach Your Daughters About Pores

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #FiercelyCleanPores #CollectiveBias
I am the oldest of three younger sisters. Growing up I didn't really have an older sibling to teach me about acne or black heads. I resulted to reading magazines and finding the best tips on how to reduce the appearance of pores. Every sign would point to Bioré Deep Cleansing Pore Strips. Now that my oldest daughter, Carlie, is at the age where she is trying to unclog her pores and remove the black heads. I knew it was the perfect time to teach her to tame her wildest pores. I introduced Carlie to the Limited Edition Bioré Deep Cleansing Pore Strips last week and it was something we bonded over. I found them exclusively Walmart and they have these wild prints on them:
I personally like the zebra ones the best. I kinda have a thing for stripes:
If you are interested in using these Bioré Cleansing Strips you must first take them out of there packaging and remove the wild strip from the plastic. Wet your nose with a washcloth:
Then place the Bioré Cleansing Strip upon your nose and leave it there until it's dry:
Both Carlie and I did this and we had to much fun taking these photos too!
I gently removed the strip and examined the visible blackheads that were removed. I am always surprised to know how many there were. Carlie thought it was an appropriate time to take even more selfies:
The cheetah and zebra prints really gave us a fun aspect on cleaning our pores.  Make sure to check them out at your neighborhood Walmart.
Have you used the Bioré Cleansing Strips before?

My IAMS™ Cat

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #IAMSCat #CollectiveBias

When I started dating my husband he was a packaged deal with two toddlers and a cat. I had never owned a cat. Growing up we only had dogs because my mother was allergic to cats. When I first came in contact with Misty she cuddle on my lap and I fell in love with her. She was already an old soul. Misty was already seven years old then. Now that my husband and I are going on our nine year anniversary our cat Misty is estimated to be at least sixteen years old. She is true to her routine. Everyday she jumps off of our bed and follows us into the kitchen to get her breakfast. Then she lounges around until she received her afternoon snack. Then she will "MeOw" and holler until she gets her dinner at night. I must tell you that I am not a cat person, but I love my cat. That's why I think she deserves the best. When we go to Walmart we like to purchase IAMS™. I prefer to buy the IAMS™ Proactive Health functional treats for Hairball Care, because sometimes that happens:
Our Misty has a routine and she knows it. She gets to have her dry food first and then we like to spoil her with IAMS™ Purrfect Grain Free or the Tuna/Salmon Dinner Wet Cat Food:
This is my usual Walmart cat food run. I like to buy her adult food because of her age. But recently we have been focusing on the IAMS™ Proactive Health Weight & Hairball Care Dry Cat Food:
And sometimes she gets to the wet food before I can serve it to her:
Today I wanted to share a little DIY I made so that my cat stops scratching on our new sofa. I found a random piece of scrap wood and some nautical rope from a craft store to make this simple DIY Cat Scratcher. I used my husband's staple gun and our regular office scissors:
First, I cut ten inches off so that I can make a handle for my Cat Scratcher. I plan to hang my scratcher from a door knob. Then I put the ten inch piece of rope in place and I staple it to the wood board:
Second, I staple the beginning of my rope in the middle and make sure the line is centered and loos measurable.
Third, I wrap the rope around the board about thirty times, each time I stapled the rope to secure it:
This is what your finished product should look like:
Now if you hang this up there is no guarantee that your cat will be thrilled with it. They will always prefer the coach over any scratcher,
You can hang your Cat Scratcher on any door handle that is accessible to your kitty cat:
This DIY Cat Scratcher goes purrfectly with the IAMS™ Purrfect Grain Free or the Tuna/Salmon Dinner Wet Cat Food:

How do you spoil your cat?

Easy Toppings for your Sara Lee Desserts

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Sara Lee Desserts, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #SaraLeeDesserts http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV
Every year for my husband's birthday I try and come up with a new cake recipe or idea. This year we are trying out the Sara Lee Original Cream Classic Cheesecake and creating our own toppings. I wanted to add some chocolate and blackberries to the mold. So when I picked up the Sara Lee Original Cream Classic Cheesecake in the freezer section, I also collected some chocolate cookies and found fresh blackberries in the produce section of Food Lion. To top it all off, I also bought a simple agave syrup to add a little drizzle on top of my cheese cake. Read on to see how I created a master piece:
You can use the instant redemption coupon on your Sara Lee Original Cream Classic Cheesecake package for $1.50 off the purchase of one cheesecake good through 3/31 while supplies last.
You want to start with your cheesecake frozen. It helps to get the cake out of it's container:
Next I turn the cheesecake upside down onto a cake stand and I used the chocolate cookies as the border:
These are just simple square cookies:
Using the blackberries I create a circular pattern on top of the cheesecake:
If you don't like agave syrup you can skip this next step and leave your Cheesecake like this:
Now if you are an agave lover like me! You take your agave and drizzle it all over those berries. In every direction you can swirl it:
My finished product looks pretty scrumptious. But there is another secret. Add a dash of sea salt on top of your Sara Lee Original Cream Cheesecake and it will give your dessert an extra oomph!
How will you top you Sara Lee Desserts?

Data and a Movie for His Birthday

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser, Walmart Family Mobile. All opinions are mine alone. #DataAndAMovie #CollectiveBias
My husband doesn't have a cell phone. No, he doesn't live under a rock. He prefers to use our home phone as his source of communication. However, I think it's about time to get him a phone. He will be turning 35 this week and I found the perfect phone for him. When I saw the opportunity at my neighborhood Walmart I knew the Walmart Family Mobile Plus plan would be perfect for us. They had the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime available and right now they have a promotion that is what caught my eye. When you sign up for the Unlimited Talk, Text, and Data they include up to 10GB of 4G LTE Data plus a free movie on VUDU every month, for $49.88! The free Movie is what got me hook line and sinker. In our house we love our movie night. With kids sometimes date night is movie night. That's why my husband is getting Data and a Movie for his birthday:
When you get to Walmart you will find the Walmart Family Mobile section in the electronics department. There was a very nice lady that was there to help me out. I knew I had to buy a new phone, but what I didn't know was that I had to also buy the starter kit too. The starter kit is where you get your personalized telephone and SIM card.  I chose to get the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime for $99.00. I knew this phone was just what we needed with the 4G wireless and high quality camera:
All prices for phones and plans included in this post are accurate as of the date of posting; however, these prices are subject to change. Please refer tohttp://cbi.as/2n6q6 or your local Walmart for current pricing. The low priced phone fits in perfectly for this time of year, because it's tax season. This is a great time to invest in a good quality phone that has an awesome price:
Once I got home I read the instructions and then I read them again. Because I didn't want to ruin my husband's birthday present.
After putting everything together I was able to call and get my phone activated right then and there. It was an easy process and I really appreciated the person on the other line. Because I had a lot of questions. They assured me that I was choosing the best plan that had Unlimited Talk, Text and Data. I was also reassured about the VUDU free movie each month :) On our Smart TV we actually have the VUDU app, so I knew this would be great for our family:
If you are interested in getting a new phone go to your nearest Walmart and check out the Walmart Family Mobile area. Tax season is the best time to invest into a new phone. Plus you get a free movie each month!
What movie will you choose to watch?
