Color the Skies requires an early morning wake up call and some coffee... a 6 am wake up call that is. I was able to use the PSL pass on this particular morning at my local Starbucks and they were very adamant about me showing my gold membership and scanning the PSL Pass! I was surprised. The only way I was able to get all of the kids up that early was Starbucks. We waited in line and request and requested Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccinos for Carlie and Dean. I ordered the Pumpkin Spice Latte of course. Solin wanted an apple and cake a cake pop. My husband on the other hand refuses to ever consume anything from Starbucks... so he stands alone.
Driving up to Color the Skies in Ripon, CA we relized that we were a little late. Waking up at 6 am was LATE! They told us if we wanted to watch all of the balloons launch we had to be there at 6 or even before!
Although we were just in time to watch the blimp launch:
Can you believe Dean is already taller than me?
The only thing left to do at the event was watch the tethered balloon rides:
After the excitement of the balloons cooled down we found the petting zoo and horse rides:
Solin is so tiny that she was able to fit through the gate:
She was upset that we had to leave the "horsey" and go home. But truly we knew it was nap time:
Within five minutes of being on the road she was snoozing:
