Here we are in the middle of summer and the kids are already stir crazy. We usually have events planned on the weekends to keep them busy but when I am at work they usually keep to themselves or have fun at our local park or even horse back riding at Grandma's. After work last week I took the kids to my hometown library so they could pick out a few summer time reading books their high school recommended. Dean, who will be a sophomore this August, has already read Pride and Prejudice, The Book Thief, The Hobbit and Romeo & Juliet! We brought along some snacks we found at Walmart. The kids love eating Kellogg's Nutrigrain Bars, especially the strawberry ones!
After finding a few books to read we sat down to have our snack and I found out about the Kellogg's Family Rewards. With each Kellogg's product you purchase that has the Kellogg's Family Reward logo on it you can receive one Scholastic book which will allow you to build your very own personal library!
In order to redeem your codes, you must create a Kellogg's Family Rewards account on their website here. One Kellogg's product equals on free Scholastic book, and each person can redeem up to thirty books!
We let Solin roam around the library for some time but she was mainly interested in Un-Organizing the books... She would take a book off of the shelf and put it on the floor or on another shelf. It was quite hilarious!
After a few attempts of destroying the shelving units I had to chaperon Solin there after:
I was so happy to share my hometown library with the kids. I grew up going to this library on field trips and listening to story time. A lot of memories were made here.
Be sure to check out more books available via this Kellogg's offer at http://cbi.as/gfgc. I'd love to hear your favorite book offered! #Back2SchoolReady
