My Life #Instagrammed

Next month Solin will be ONE! It is very hard for me to put my mind around that. I was warned that her childhood would fly by, but I didn't want to believe it. Now I am just holding on to each and every precious moment like this one above^
^My best friend shared the love on Valentine's Day^
Valentine's Day is a favorite holiday for us and you can read about that HERE
We went to the Almond Blossom Festival and also took Solin's First Birthday photos. Here is a sneak peak HERE
Project 52 is in full effect HERE
On Presidents Day we went to Santa Cruz and had an amazing day in the sun.
^My friend Anh is having a baby girl and we celebrated her baby shower this past weekend and I was very surprised that Solin was eating broccoli.
I chaperoned Carlie's Eighth Grade Dance and felt a little immature taking selfies with them. But they were the ones who were more embarrassed taking photos with a chaperone?
And the best for last^^^ This pizza is from VIP Pizza and is our new creation: Pineapples, Jalapenos, and BACON!!!

"A portrait of my children, once a week, every week in 2015."

The last few Project 52 posts have only had Dean & Solin. Our little Carlie is a busy bee. So I wanted to devote this one to Ms. Carlie Rae. I snapped this photos recently when we drove out to the Almond Blossom Festival in Ripon, Ca. It was a small lil festival but we found our fair food and headed out before the weather was destructive!
Carlie had some creative answers to this question. Each and everyone was snarky and sarcastic of course.

Almond Blossoms

Its officially starting to look like spring here in the central valley. There is no way around it. The Almond Blossom Festival was this weekend and that is just the beginning. Easter supplies are being sold in the stores. The bees are buzzing and the grass is a vibrant color of green. The only problem is that we need more rain! I am about to give in and do a little rain dance soon... because we are desperate.
On another note how beautiful are these blossoms? Last year when I was pregnant with Solin, I wanted to take my maternity photos in the almond blossoms. One day they were in full bloom and the next week they were gone. This year I took full advantage of these beautiful flowers and we had a photo session for Solin's First Birthday photos.... Yup my baby girl will be ONE next month!
Trying to arrange my own photo shoot was a little difficult. I am thankful I had my husband there to help with those candid shots.
The weather was in our favor in the orchards. Once we arrived at the festival the clouds turned grey and the winds gained speed...
But the bakers did bake us a full batch of cannolis and they were delicious!!!
Where I live a Lockeford Sausage is a local delicacy. Whenever there is a festival you can count on them to be there. If you are ever in the area you can also stop by there shop which is located HERE

"A portrait of my children, once a week, every week in 2015."
This is typically what most of his photos actually look like^^^
But this one is my favorite^^^
Solin is an official explorer now. She tries to run away on her own any chance she can get. In these photos she is trying to escape from a souvenir shop on the boardwalk!
Another week with no photos of Carlie Rae. I feel that my mother in law has fully adopted her. We are very happy that Carlie is involved in Schutzhund (dog training) but sometimes we miss her in our family events.

Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk

Thank you California for giving us this beautiful weather. We are in the middle of February and we are blessed with this incredible 70 degree weather. With the three day weekend upon us, my husband and I grabbed a carload and we drove down to Santa Cruz for the day. There was no traffic and the crowds were imminent. We walked the boardwalk all the way through before we found a spot on the beach and plopped ourselves down in the sand and let the kids play all day:
Last time I was in Santa Cruz, I was a newly wed and my friends took me for a fun little treat. It is tradition to get a funnel cake or a dipped cone. And this time my husband and I are on such strict diets that the billboards and advertisements looked delicious.
I wanted to take the kids here this time because they had never been. We only had Dean & Solin once again because our little Carlie is very involved in her dog training.
Solin surprises me each and every time we are at the beach. I know how much she loves playing in the bath at home, but she will spend as long as she can just splashing around in the water along the beach.
She is a pro at walking now. But every now and then she gets a little wobbly:
Just like her Daddy... Solin has a heart full of adventure...
And these are my boys. We had Uncle Carlos, Uncle Grant, My Husband (RJ), And Mr Dean:
I love when I can get a good photo of Dean. He is growing up so fast right now. Every week I feel like I am buying another pair of pants!
But then Mr Dean tried to bury his little sister...
and she was ok about it!
