One Year Wedding Anniversary

Dear Husband,
Today we celebrate one year of being married and seven years of being together. There is no need to buy me any gift that is made out of paper. We have just delivered the one true gift that I will always cherrish. Today is a wonderful day for the two of us and I am content to spend the day sleeping in with breakfast in bed. We have our Solin grey who is five days old; and Carlie and Dean who I hold close and dear to me. I love you and thank you for spending these seven wonderful years together with me.

Baby Wishlist

My whole pregnancy and I thought I was having a boy... I had nothing pink to take her home in. I had prepared a beautiful white gown to bring the baby home in. But my husband's grandmother wouldn't have it... she went out that day and gave me a beautiful pink dress to take Solin home in. Thank you Grandma I love you... Now I just need a little more help bringing pink into our lives:

The day before I had Solin

I went to lunch at Valley Brew with my best friend Kristen. I needed some sweet potato fries with BBQ sauce. Valley Brew is well known for their delicious beers, but I go for their fries!
Food for thought.... don't go clothes shopping when you are 39 weeks pregnant! I was going to have my baby any day and I decided to go and try on clothes. NOTHING FIT ME... and anything I was going to buy wasn't going to fit me in the future anyways! Luckily I only bought comfortable pajamas!

Gender Neutral Baby Ideas

When we found out we were pregnant my husbands first inclination was to keep the gender a surprise. Baby showers and random gifts from family are a little difficult. But, we believe the delivery of our baby will be a wonderful moment between us that we can always share. The problem I keep running into is how to I decorate the nursery or what will they wear? Here are a few of my ideas:

38 Weeks Pregnant

The kids are on spring break and I am enjoying my maternity leave. Since I can not go too far, we decided to go to San Francisco and enjoy the bay! My husband had planned a wonderful day on the wharf that included a boat tour and tickets to the aquarium.
(The kids were focusing on their inner balance)
(And then my husband fell and skinned his knee)
(The piano steps on Pier 39)
(We had to wait in a very long line to get on our Hornblower Cruise)
(The boat was rocking and the wind was rolling)
(Kisses under the Golden Gate Bridge)

Birthday Boy

Every year I have the same dilemma. What do I get my husband for his birthday? He is the kind of man who will go out and buy what he wants when he wants. So when I try and brainstorm for a present, I always get lost. We are at the point in our relationship where we have decided to go somewhere on our birthdays in lieu of gifts. And when I asked my husband what he would like to do. He told his 37 week pregnant wife that he would like to hike Mount Diablo. So I decided to humor him and instead of hiking we are going to settle by taking an afternoon drive through the back roads and end the day with a picnic at the top...

I was very impressed with the view from the top. I had visited Mount Diablo when I was younger. But I don't remember there being an observatory.

RJ doesn't like his photo to be taken but I'm going to make an exception just to document this wonderful day.
It had rained earlier in the day, which gave us an amazing view of the bay area. We could even see the Golden Gate Bridge.
